Sexy Soundtracks: The Weeknd
Anyone who was lucky enough to catch me during my brief camming phase has heard The Weeknd plenty. That’s because in my opinion his trilogy of debut albums is the sexiest fucking music that has come out in years. I can’t hear his voice without getting a little wet. It’s music that was made for fucking to.
When I first heard House of Balloons I was blown away. “You wanna be high for this…” echoed in my ears as I walked around the city and carried me through my days. My bones thrummed to the rhythm of “What You Need” and I felt my hips undulating unconsciously.
And I was blown the fuck away when I found out Abel Tesfaye was a 20 year old from Canada. He sounded like a world weary experienced grown man. His voice is that of a man who has lived every second of his life to the fullest – to extreme joys, extreme pleasure, and extreme pain. It’s a combination that is enticing, fascinating, and wholly arousing.
Off Thursday he implores a listener “Don’t make me make you fall in love…” in “The Birds Part 1” and that instruction had the exact opposite effect. That song makes my panties drop with a damp echo as they hit the ground. I end up identifying with the girl who is inevitably falling hard for that sensuous voice and the tease who knows he is control of her and her affections.
It’s a subtle threat. I can make you love me. I can own your heart. Don’t make me do that. Don’t make me break you.
And ya’ll know I get off on that.
When Trilogy was released it was the first album I had actually paid for in as long as I could remember. I couldn’t wait and I wanted to support his record label with every penny that I could.
So ladies – get this man into your ears. Let him carry you to an all too believable fantasy of long nights, awkward sunrises, bloodshot eyes, and the kind of passion that supersedes common sense or rational behavior.
And boys – you want to pay close attention. Keep this in your back pocket for a sexy and sophisticated soundtrack choice. Since Abel is rarely available when I want to wrap my legs around him – it’s a good bet I’m going to find a substitute to relieve the desire he stirs inside of me. I’m sure I’m not the only one.
Make me happy. Buy his album. And enjoy 😉Posted on: March 13, 2013Lauren Kiley
